It sort of follows the “found out I was a bet” troupe towards the end, but way after the characters already get together verses some other books. The second half of the book is more so about an involved couple, and the side characters in their lives with a dash of doubt about each other thrown in, or at least it is on the female main character’s part. I started to think, “Yes! This is IMM at her best!”and I was hopeful that this would be as good as Dear Ava, unfortunately, the two main characters get together halfway through the story and the main allure and conflict ended for me. When I first started listening to this story, I was excited about the banter, and where things were going.
